#dreandlishitched15: A Spencerport Wedding at Plantation Party House

The weeks just seemed to fly by from the time we photographed Andre and Melissa's engagement session, and suddenly their Spencerport wedding day was upon us. As we headed down I-90 from Buffalo to Rochester, surrounded by sunshine and the deep green of mid-summer trees, we could see it was shaping up to be a beautiful day.

We caught up with Melissa just as she was finishing up hair and makeup.  The blue in her details and bridesmaids dresses were the perfect compliment to her blue eyes--and the bright summer sky!

Melissa had multiple sets of jewelry and was still undecided until the moment she got dressed. Just then, a family member volunteered her diamond studs, and everyone agreed it was the perfect "something borrowed" that she needed to complete her wedding day look!

Meanwhile down the hall, Andre and his groomsmen were all suited up, just waiting for the ceremony to begin. Love the purple and blue orchid boutonniere against Andre's grey suit.  Just sharp!

Just before the ceremony, Andre came to exchange a gift and private sentiments with his bride. Although they didn't see each other, this hand-hold around the door was definitely the next best thing!

Andre personally rolled out the "white carpet" for his bride's walk down the aisle. With that, the ceremony began. It was a beautiful sight to see Melissa's father escort her toward her groom as friends and family looked on.

Next stop, Spencerport's Plantation Party House, where first we captured a few portraits of the stunning bride, followed by some fun shots with the bridal party.

We had such a hard time narrowing down our favorite couple shots from this wedding. So we stopped narrowing. Enjoy! :)

Meanwhile inside the Party House, the guests were assembled and ready for the party to start!

We absolutely love the happy smiles on the faces the bride and groom's parents as they prepared to make their reception entrance. Everyone in the bridal party was ready to celebrate--but especially Melissa and Andre!

After speeches and dinner, the reception guests meandered along the grounds of the Plantation Party House, enjoying each other's company both indoors and out in the warm evening breeze. Since the newlyweds were soon to move to Hawaii, this day was all about having a good time with their friends and family...and that they did!

As the couple took their turns on the dance floor, first with each other, then with their parents, there was not a dry eye in the house. Such beautiful moments!

The dancing was just getting started, and once it did, it never stopped. This bunch nearly brought down the Party House!

The bride and groom couldn't have looked happier as they made a jovial exit to glow sticks!

And since we were all outside...why not get our final shots of the night alongside the couple's sweet wedding day ride?

Andre and Melissa - best wishes to the two of you as you begin your new life together in tropical Hawaii! So glad you chose us to capture your wedding-day send off from Western New York! Congratulations! Aloha! :)

A Summer Day on the Green: Tony and Theresa's Diamond Hawk Golf Course Wedding

On a warm Saturday in June, Tony and Theresa gathered their families and friends to celebrate their marriage together, and what a beautiful day they had! These newlyweds were so easy going and pleasant that they made photographing their day a piece of cake!

We met the two of them early that afternoon for their ceremony in Hamburg. Theresa was all smiles on the limo bus with her girls while Tony was inside with his groomsmen, fastening boutineers in final preparation before the ceremony would begin.

After the ceremony, we all headed over to Diamond Hawk Golf Course in Depew. Before the reception began, we ventured out on the green by way of golf carts for some fun shots with the bridal party. What a ride!

We were happy to have Kelsey Watroba of Kelsey Gene Photography as our assistant for this wedding, and we are pleased to feature some of her photos here on the blog. Thanks for coming along for the ride, Kelsey:)

The tall grasses in these summer fields were just perfect for photographing these newlyweds. These images are simply, beautiful!

The time had come for the bride and groom to make their reception entrance! As it worked out, were able to steal them away for a couple of golden hour shots just before sunset.

Once the bride and groom officially opened the dance floor, the party did not stop! We love seeing everyone have such a good time!

It is hard to express in words how amazing Tim & Dee are both professionally and personally. I guarantee after the first meeting with them you will be hooked. I remember being stressed about finding photography. I wanted to make sure I found the best one. As soon as my husband and I meet with Tim and Dee, we knew that they were the one and we could not have been more correct. They are extremely passionate about their work. They make sure that they are capturing the essence of you as โ€œthe couple.โ€ They always had great suggestions and worked hard to make sure everything was perfect. They are great people and my husband and I truly enjoyed working with them and having them a part of our special day. They blew our high expectations out of the water. Thank you!!!

Andrew & Michelle - Finger Lakes Wedding at Emerson Park Pavilion, Auburn, NY

Thank you for putting our concerns about being in front of a camera at ease. You two are a dynamic team. So many of our guests exclaimed how fun and professional you were. We want to also thank you for orchestrating one of our favorite moments, dancing on the porch with the music pouring out of the pavilion with only the porch lights illuminating the porch. That dance and walk in the park is so natural for us. Thank you again.
— Andrew & Michelle
This past weekend Tim and his wife did my sonโ€™s and now daughter in laws weddingโ€”I am going to say on record they were unbelievableโ€”-Tim moved like he was โ€œman on a missionโ€ and hustled every minute to simply get the perfect shots!!! The two of them were terrific together and did an outstanding job. I would strongly recommend them.
— Father of the Groom
Amazing and very professional. They even did family pictures for my family that weekend. Wonderful experience!

Michelle & Andrew's Finger Lakes Wedding at Auburn's Emerson Park Pavilion

When Michelle and Andrew came together to celebrate their wedding day with their friends and families this summer in the Finger Lakes, it was a truly beautiful event. The two chose Emerson Park Pavilion as the location for their ceremony and reception. The breath-taking waterfront scenery of this lovely park nestled in the heart of New York's Finger Lakes Region made for some truly gorgeous wedding photography. Here along Owasco Lake, we met Michelle and her girls before the ceremony for a few portraits before the wedding.  Love how they turned out!

How sweet was it to happen upon this classic car at the park? We love it!

At the pavilion on the other side of the park, Andrew and his groomsmen were patiently awaiting the start of the ceremony. Closely accompanying Andrew was his little shadow, RJ. This handsome fellow was so cute as he imitated Andrew's every move!

During the ceremony, in addition to exchanging rings, the two exchanged roses as symbols of their love for each other.

A kiss later, and we were on our way to capture a few photographs of the happy newlyweds and their bridal party!

Michelle and Andrew thought about everything for the enjoyment of their guests - down to the games for the kids and the "iPad" photo booth. So cute!

These two romantics stepped outside to enjoy a dance on the veranda as the live music of 3 West filled the summer air around them. Beautiful!

Back inside, 3 West kept the crowd dancing with an awesome variety of songs hand-picked by the bride and the groom. This dynamic acoustic duo out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania were as pleasant to be around as they were to listen to, as you can see by the shots below. How sweet is that?
