The Columns Banquets: Bob & Mary's Summer Wedding Event

What an honor it was for us to be a part of Bob & Mary's summer wedding at the The Columns Banquets. Three years had passed so quickly since we photographed his brother and sister-in-law Andrew and Erin's Becker Farms Wedding. Just like that, we were all geared up for another beautiful wedding event with his family - and it certainly lived up to all expectations.

It was no coincidence that Mary seemed to be the calmest bride we've ever worked with. Her family commented on how laid back she and Bob both were. She definitely made our job easy, as she and her company of ladies got dolled up and dressed up in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere at the Buffalo Millennium Hotel.

After taking some beautiful photographs of the bride, we headed off to the Columns Banquets where we met Bob and his groomsmen finishing up their preparations -- tying ties, fastening boutonnieres, and lacing up shoe strings. What a handsome and fun bunch!

The beauty of The Columns Banquets facility, inside and out, was a perfect setting for this gorgeous wedding. The Corinthian Ballroom was exquisitely adorned in purple details.

We loved how the grounds of The Columns Banquets made for both a beautiful outdoor ceremony and the perfect backdrop for couple's portraits, giving us just enough space to step away from the crowd for some quiet moments with the bride and groom. After which, we headed back inside for speeches, cake, and dancing. Bob and Mary's daughter stole the show as she danced in her mother's shoes (if you'd asked her, she would told you they were HER shoes).

It's always a pleasure of ours to reunite with past wedding clients at a wedding. Personal referrals are the best business one can have, so we had to capture this photo of three wedding clients together. At that moment, the party was just getting started. Love the energy both families had on the dance floor!

Bob and Mary - thanks for asking us to be a part of your wedding day! It has truly been our pleasure to work with your family and friends over the years. We certainly hope it's not the last time that we meet at a wedding! :)

A Canalside Celebration: Michelle & Ben's Lockport Locks Wedding

On a gorgeous July afternoon in Lockport, an unforgettable wedding celebration was in store along the Erie Canal. From the time we photographed their engagement session almost a year ago to the day, Michelle and Ben's excitement had been building for this event and, as we pulled up to meet Michelle and her entourage at the Lockport Inn and Suites, we knew it was going to be beautiful!

As Michelle prepared to get dressed, her mom presented her with a surprise - a personalized hanger for her lovely wedding dress. Now her details were complete!

Outside in the parking lot, we caught up with Ben and his groomsmen, and there was this classic car just begging for of course, this happened. Perfect timing!

Upon arriving at the Lockport Locks Canalside Banquet Center, we took a few moments to photograph some of the rustic details including the DIY centerpieces that the bride put together herself. Beautiful!

After the ceremony, we took advantage of a few private moments aboard the Lockport Locks Lockview V Boat with the bride and the groom.

Next, everyone jumped in the limo bus to head over to Upson Park for a few shots with the bridal party...and of course a few more with the newlyweds.

Before jumping aboard the Lockview V again for their sunset cruise, Michelle and Ben got a preview of the guest signature book, full of their favorite images from their engagement session. Ben's expression says it all!

Among the guests on the cruise were our past clients Erin & AJ whose beautiful Becker Farms wedding inspired Ben & Michelle to book us as their Lockport wedding photographers. Thanks guys!! :)

Back ashore, it was time for Michelle and Ben to make their reception entrance. One of the highlights was when Ben's father presented the newlyweds with a special heirloom memento to inaugurate their home. Not a dry eye in the place after that!

As dinner was being served, we couldn't resist the beautiful golden light shining through the trees along the canal. So we stole away the newlyweds (with very little effort) for a few sunset shots. Not long after, the two set the dance floor in motion with their first dance, and from there on the party was on!

The last song of the night had arrived, and Michelle and Ben wanted it to be special. So they passed out sparklers to all of their guests, made a grand re-entry to the dance floor, and danced to their favorite song by sparkler-light. What beautiful end to a beautiful day!

Michelle and Ben - thanks so much for choosing us as your wedding day photographers! It was our pleasure to witness your celebration and capture memories for you two to cherish for years to come!

Tracey & Adam's Avanti Mansion Wedding

From the time we photographed their Buffalo Botanical Gardens engagement session, we were counting down the months and weeks to Adam and Tracey's Avanti Mansion wedding. As we awakened to rain on this surprisingly cool June morning, we hoped the showers wouldn't dampen the spirit of the bride to be. So how relieved we were to see the joy on Tracey's face as she entered Avanti Mansion's foyer doors! The rainy weather on this June Sunday was not going to take away the shine of her wedding day!

We headed up to the Avanti Mansion bridal suite, where the bride would get ready for the day alongside her bridesmaids, flower girls, and of course her mom. All the details were laid out beautifully, and the mood was nothing but celebratory!

Once again we were happy to have Kelsey Watroba of Kelsey Gene Photography join us as our assistant for this wedding, and we are pleased to feature some of her photos here on the blog. (Thanks Kelsey!)

When Tracey's time had arrived to get into her dress, she had a full team assisting with the lace-up dress, and in the end it was a stunning fit for the bride!

Downstairs, Adam and his gents had already made the quick transformation into tuxedos, ties and top hats.

About this time, the bride's father stepped into the bridal suite to get a glimpse at his daughter. And the waterworks were on from there!

Meanwhile down in the ballroom, the guests were assembled, and Adam was waiting patiently for his bride to be escorted down the aisle. As the ceremony started, the ring bearer got a case of butterflies, which lightened everyone's mood with laughter just prior to the bride making her entrance.

The weather proved to be no match for this handsome newlywed couple and their fabulous bridal party. Rain, what rain? :)

As cocktail hour wrapped up, everyone was eagerly anticipating the introduction of the bride and groom. They made their grand entrance, and were showered with loving words from their best man and best lady.

First dances were in order, and they were just beautiful. From that moment on, the DJ got guests of all ages out on the dance floor!

After gathering the bridal party in the foyer for these last group shots, the bride and groom stepped outside with us for their last couple's photograph of the night.

Tracey and Adam - thanks so much for choosing us to capture your wedding day! We wish you much success in your new life together - and hope you enjoy your images for years to come!

A Summer Day on the Green: Tony and Theresa's Diamond Hawk Golf Course Wedding

On a warm Saturday in June, Tony and Theresa gathered their families and friends to celebrate their marriage together, and what a beautiful day they had! These newlyweds were so easy going and pleasant that they made photographing their day a piece of cake!

We met the two of them early that afternoon for their ceremony in Hamburg. Theresa was all smiles on the limo bus with her girls while Tony was inside with his groomsmen, fastening boutineers in final preparation before the ceremony would begin.

After the ceremony, we all headed over to Diamond Hawk Golf Course in Depew. Before the reception began, we ventured out on the green by way of golf carts for some fun shots with the bridal party. What a ride!

We were happy to have Kelsey Watroba of Kelsey Gene Photography as our assistant for this wedding, and we are pleased to feature some of her photos here on the blog. Thanks for coming along for the ride, Kelsey:)

The tall grasses in these summer fields were just perfect for photographing these newlyweds. These images are simply, beautiful!

The time had come for the bride and groom to make their reception entrance! As it worked out, were able to steal them away for a couple of golden hour shots just before sunset.

Once the bride and groom officially opened the dance floor, the party did not stop! We love seeing everyone have such a good time!

From Garden to Ballroom: Julian & Priscilla's Ballroom 384 Wedding Day

On a brilliantly sunny day in May, after much anticipation and planning, Julian and Priscilla gathered their friends and family together to celebrate the start of their new chapter in life together. What a pleasure it was for us to be there to photograph their wedding day and all its beauty in beautiful downtown Rochester.

We met Julian and his groomsmen at the Strathallan Hotel, looking sharp and proper. With his brother at his side and close friends at the ready, he was prepared for anything and everything the day would bring!

Over at East Avenue Inn and Suites, Priscilla had her company of women surrounding her, keeping her calm, cool, and smiling. What a beautiful bride!

Julian and Priscilla decided they would have their first looks at each other at the picturesque Warner Castle and Sunken Garden of Highland Park. These two were all smiles upon seeing each other's face for the first time that day. Nothing's more beautiful than that!

What a joy to capture their expressions as they viewed their guest signature book together for the first time, reliving the images from their engagement session

This distinguished bridal party really brought the gardens to life with their vibrant colors. The ladies, stunning in lavender, stood out like gems. And the gentlemen, well...just dapper!

Finally we were off to City Grill's Ballroom 384 where all the guest were gathered for the ceremony. The venue lighting and decor were perfect accents for the occasion.

While the Ballroom underwent transformation for dinner, the guests were off to enjoy the cocktail hour in the Grillroom and on the patio.

A little later in the evening, it was time to head back over to the Grillroom for first dances. The bride and groom kicked off the party with not one, not two, but three dances - a slow dance, a salsa, and an old school jam. From that moment on, the dance floor was packed and everyone was dancing the night away!

Julian and Priscilla - thanks for having us capture your wedding day memories! it was our pleasure to again work with your family and ensure you have memories to treasure for years to come. We wish you both every happiness as you continue life's journey as husband and wife!
