Jessica & Bryant's Botanical Gardens Engagement Session

What could be more appealing than having your engagement photos taken at the lovely Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens? Well, we have never appreciated the gardens more than this Spring, when preparing for Jessica & Bryant's engagement session. We talked up and planned out a Spring engagement shoot surrounded by blossoming trees and budding flowers, but when the day arrived for the shoot, we found ourselves deep in freezing temps! So the gardens were a very welcoming Plan B!

Just a few minutes into the shoot, and we knew we had settled on the right location for this couple. They look absolutely amazing together and the great thing is - it's not just a look. The showcase at the gardens on this day was the undeniable love they have for each other. It's written all over their faces!

It was so hard to leave the gardens that they practically had to kick us out! Afterward, we really weren't sure how well any outdoor photographs would be received because, although Bryant is a native Buffalonian, Jessica is a southern girl! To our surprise, they both braved the 20-degree wind chill like champs!

After a few minutes of playing-off super cold temps outside, it didn't take much effort at all to talk them into reconvening over a hot drink at Spot Coffee in downtown Buffalo. Finally, everyone could feel their fingers and toes again! :)

Bryant and Jessica came prepared with a wardrobe change that stepped it up a notch. So we headed just across the way to the trendy lobby at The Embassy Suites. They sure made this lobby look good!

Bryant and Jessica - thanks so much for being flexible on such a blustery day! We are almost as excited as you are to trade some cooler temps for warmer ones at your Nashville Wedding this summer!

Nick & Yolanda: The Wedding

After much anticipation and planning, the big day had finally arrived for Nick and Yolanda! All of the details came together beautifully, as did the weather that day. When we met the bride at Embassy Suites, getting final touches to her makeup (MUA Yasmein Abdulla), she was cool calm and collected.

Yolanda's bridal party had a challenge on their hands getting each other and the bride dressed. The joke of the moment was how Yolanda would get out of the dress and the end of the night (scissors??)...finally the last loop was cinched and gathered, and Yolanda was picture perfect.

Yolanda's flower girl was not the least bit camera shy. Isn't she a cutie?

Meanwhile, Nick was getting some help from his fellas AKA 'the mob squad'...watch out now!

Here are their first looks. Nick was blown away and Yolanda was overwhelmed to tears. How touching!

Yolanda and Nick had everyone's blessing, from her brother who escorted her down the aisle, to their best man and matron of honor looking on with approval and joy. Congrats! You did it!

We next headed over to the Historical Society at Delaware Park for a few shots of the Bridal Party. Yolanda looked beautiful here and Nick certainly agreed!

A little fun with the bridal party...

Then on to the Reception at Lucarelli's Banquet Hall, where everyone was in eager anticipation of the bridal party's arrival.

Now there's a happy groom! Yeah Nick, you win!!

Nick had a special dedication song for Yolanda that took everyone for surprise. Nick, we had no idea you could sing like THAT! :)

We'll end with this ring shot, a lovely symbol of the love uniting two wonderful people. Congratulations, Nick and Yolanda! Best wishes on your new life together!
