Tai's Spring Fashion & Beauty Session at The Buffalo History Museum

Early May brought some much needed warmth and color to Buffalo, along with the inspiration to get out and shoot! So what great timing it was to have a fashion and beauty photography session with our good friend Tai at the Buffalo History Museum's Japanese Gardens. We started our shoot alongside the museum, as the sun was setting just behind the trees. Beautiful!

We love this look paired with the beautiful blooms of cherry blossoms in the background.

Sometimes the most unsuspecting structures can make for some unique visual appeal. Love how this concrete scene accentuates Tai's chic fashionista stylings.

Tai - thanks for a great shoot, as always! We look forward to working with you again!

Chelsea & Garret's Wedding in Orchard Park, New York

It was our privilege to celebrate our first wedding of the season with our good friends, Chelsea and Garret, who flew in all the way from China (where we photographed their colorful fall engagement session) to celebrate their wedding day with the gathering of their families in Western New York. Although the days leading up to their wedding were miserably cold, on their wedding day, the clouds parted, the sun shined, and Spring stopped in a for a brief, beautiful visit!

We met the bride and groom as they and their families made final touches just prior to the ceremony at the Orchard Park Kingdom Hall.

What words could possibly describe how proud and happy Chelsea's father was to walk her down the aisle?

The wedding discourse was by far the most animated we have ever witnessed. Chelsea and Garret even got a driving lesson that we're sure they will never forget! :)

After rings and vows, we were off with the bride and groom to capture their first portraits as husband and wife. Although these two had judiciously arranged a lovely indoor venue for their couples photographs, we just could not let this warm March evening slip away without a few outdoor photos. Love, love, love them!

What do you get when you combine great light with two beautiful people and a piano? This gorgeousness! And a little romance, too!

With that, Garret and Chelsea were ready to make their entrance at their Ilio DiPaulo's reception to continue the celebration. What a joy to capture Chelsea dancing with the two most loving men in her life, and such a fitting way to close out this post.

Chelsea and Garret - we can't say enough how happy we are that you two found each other! We are honored to have played a part in capturing the start of your life together. As wonderful as it is that you returned Stateside to celebrate your union at home with your families, we know you will always feel at home with each other no matter where you journey together--in this world, and the next! Congratulations! Zhรนhรจ! ็ฅ่ดบ!

Photo Event at The Buffalo ArtSpace Gallery

After the long, cold, snowy winter we've had here in Buffalo, we were excited to warm up with a little collaborative photo event at Buffalo's Artspace Gallery earlier this month. It was a great opportunity to get creative and shake off some winter blahs in a beautiful, modern (and warm) creative-use space! We were really fortunate to have the amazing make-up artistry of Sherille Williams MUA, who made the beautiful faces of our beautiful subjects simply shine. It was also great to have a chance to work with Kelsey of Kelsey Gene Photography, as well as our hard working hands-on assistant Kelly Skipper. We hope this is just the start of more creative collaboration to come!

We have to say were very happy to have some super patient, willing subjects who were so cooperative with every suggestion, and so much fun! First on that list were Tai and Ward, who individually have a great look but together...even better! Tai is a fashion fiend, so she had no shortage of wardrobe suggestions for herself and the love of her life. They just looked fabulous!

Next up were two sassy siblings, Santana and Nina, who came through in a big way for the "balloons and bokeh" inspired setup. As Kelly and Kelsey will testify, staging 4 dozen balloons isn't easy! But it all worked out beautifully.

The lovely mother-daughter duo, Li and Madison, closed out the night with understated perfection.  We love how the make-up turned out for all these ladies. Absolute beauties!

Thanks again to everyone for making this shoot happen! We hope you love the photographs as much as we enjoyed taking them!
