Class & Color: Tim & Tracy's Urban Chic Anniversary Portrait Session in Downtown Buffalo

As much as we love photographing the wedding day, when two people start their journey together, there is something so very inspiring about photographing a couple whose journey is well underway. Anniversary photography sessions are occasions to celebrate a husband and wife's commitment and dedication to live up to the vows they exchange, come what may. Tim and Tracy are such a couple, and this anniversary session is our way of celebrating their lasting love.

Although this anniversary session was just a few days after their 17th anniversary, their interaction during this shoot felt much more like that of newlyweds--as spoken by the photographs that follow.

As day turned to night, we found our way over to Niagara Square for a few more shots. We love how striking these two look at the Federal Courthouse Building with the colorful lights of Buffalo City Hall shining in the background.

Tracy, Tim, it was our pleasure to photograph your love story 17 years in the making. You two are an inspiration - on and off camera :) We wish a very happy anniversary to you both - this year and forevermore!

Jamin & Brandy's Anniversary Session at Nashville's Ellington Agricultural Center

We recently had the privilege of meeting Jamin and Brandy when we traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to photograph the wedding of Jamin's sister, Jessica. We were truly honored when, after seeing our work on line, Brandy called us a couple of months before Jessica's wedding to ask if she might be able to schedule a 4th wedding anniversary session with us while we were in town. Of course we would!

These two picked the Ellington Agricultural Center as the location for their shoot - and it turned out to be just lovely. (OK, it was a little hot, but you'd never know it from the gorgeous photos of these two). We love the photos along the lush green landscape of the grounds.

Mike and Ella's Maternity Session at Tifft Nature Preserve

After a couple of cancellations due to stormy weather, and with Ella's due date quickly approaching, we were so glad things finally worked out for Mike and Ella's maternity shoot at Tifft Nature Preserve!

If there were only word to summarize this maternity session, it would be simply: lovely. Ella definitely had the glow of a happy mom-to-be (not to mention the cutest baby bump), and you could tell how enamored Mike was with his Ella and his little one on the way!

Not sure what is more adorable here - Ella's eyes or her freckles. Love it!

Mike made sure we didn't wrap up the shoot before he had a chance to strut his super-hero moves. Now Mike gets to be a super dad! :)

MIke and Ella - we are so glad we had the chance to document this momentous milestone with you two. And we are overjoyed at the safe and healthy arrival of baby Nolan! We hope we get a chance to see you all again very soon!

Miranda & Joe & Two Little Ones: Family Engagement Session at Knox Farm State Park

On a warm sunny Sunday afternoon, we met up with Miranda, Joe and their two little girls for an adventurous family-style engagement session at Knox Farm State Park in East Aurora. At the outset, when we initially met Miranda and Joe to discuss their wedding day photography, they brought along two special little ladies in their life--Lily and Bailey. After spending just a few minutes with this family, we knew that no conventional engagement session would do. We dropped the idea of a "family" engagement photography session, and everyone was instantly on board.

What an adventure was in store for us! We had no shortage of action and antics as we strolled around the park taking photographs of the entire family.

This series of shots summarizes the feel of the day, with the girls much more interested in playing games and picking flowers than posing for a photo! Who can blame them? But from time to time they appeased us, wandering into frame just long enough for a family shot or two :)

We spent part of our time scouting out a particular bent tree that the family remembered from the year before. What a find! Even Bailey could climb a little! It made for some of our favorite photos of the afternoon.

Another part of our adventure was playing in the grass. Well as it turns out, shortly after posing for the shot below, Joe quickly discovered his intense allergy to grass! We love the way the shot turned out - so we like to think it was worth it!

Joe and Miranda met through Miranda's cousin at a Bills game, seven years and two kids ago. "We don't take too much too seriously... We are better friends than anything else," Miranda says. "He's a good guy. He tries to take care of everybody, even though the girls try to teach him a thing or two." True!

Joe and Miranda - we absolutely love how this shoot turned out - so glad you were up for something a little different! We're looking forward to seeing you again in a couple months at your Klock's Grove wedding!
